Welcome to the 6th Annual Ashland Literary Arts Festival! This year’s event focuses on independent story and thought throughout the entire Cascadia region, celebrating not only books, but all forms of expression: literature, poetry, journalism, art, lyrics, comics, film, and documentary. We invite you to come on in, explore the festival schedule, and find the stories that speak to you!

Northwest Nature Shop

The Northwest Nature Shop--http://www.northwestnatureshop.com -- is a family business located in the same historic home in beautiful Ashland Oregon where the shop was originally opened in 1985 by Mike and Kathy Uhtoff. We’ve created a shop to encourage people to turn their backyards into sanctuaries for wildlife, to provide educational projects for parents to do with their children and nature guide books to learn about the world around us. Through the years we have watched our customers’ families grow and change just as ours has and it makes us appreciate our customers and being a part of a community that supports our mission and our sustainable business that allows us to have 3 generations work alongside each other.

We as a business strive to:

Inspire a love and curiosity for the natural world. Foster a community that appreciates nature and thus works to protect our natural surroundings for future generations.

Provide products made in a sustainable manner. Support small businesses that make quality goods.

Be an active contributor to our community by hosting educational events and supporting educational and environmental organizations.

Support our employees by providing a fun, satisfying, flexible work environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle.

We invite you to visit us in Ashland, Oregon or here at our website to check out our selection of garden and bird feeding supplies, maps and hiking guides, educational toys, and locally made and fair trade gifts. Please email us at birds@northwestnatureshop.com with comments, questions and inquiries.
