Welcome to the 6th Annual Ashland Literary Arts Festival! This year’s event focuses on independent story and thought throughout the entire Cascadia region, celebrating not only books, but all forms of expression: literature, poetry, journalism, art, lyrics, comics, film, and documentary. We invite you to come on in, explore the festival schedule, and find the stories that speak to you!

Ana Ramana

Mt. Shasta, California
I am a native of Ireland, now living in northern California. I earned an M.A. from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University. I have published three books of poems and a novel. Selected awards include the Academy of American Poets Award, the William Stafford Poetry Fellowship and the Heekin Foundation's Siobhán Fellowship for Literary Nonfiction. Publishers Weekly featured my first novel, Taf, and cited me as an Emerging Writer To Watch.

I travel the country, teaching intimate writing workshops in Spiritual Memoir. It's been an honor to work with a diversity of writers, including long term students who are now published; the elderly; the terminally ill; and most recently, an entire extended family, including in-laws, ranging in age from 14 - 85!

I'll be pitching my second novel, Girl On Fire, and am delighted to be joining you at the wondrous WW Conference this month.
