John Yunker writes plays, short stories, and novels focused on human/animal relationships. He is a co-founder of Ashland Creek Press, author of the novel The Tourist Trail, and editor of two fiction anthologies, Among Animals and Among Animals 2. His plays have been staged at such venues as Centre Stage New Play Festival, the Mountain Playhouse Comedy Festival, Studio Players Theatre, and the 2017 ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education) conference. His teleplay Sanctuary was performed at the 2017 Compassion Arts Festival in New York, and his short stories have been published in Phoebe, Qu, Flyway, Antennae, and other journals.
